It's good to be a believing man

What will you do if on your to-do-list are:

3 sermons to prepare
4 meetings
1 MC-ing
3 projects to write
6 telephone calls
7 e-mails and
1 blogpost

In that moment there's no peace in your heart, which already was seen in my last blogpost ("Uncomfortable night-thoughts"). All peace went away because I was afraid our family day would transform into a working day. And that there will be no Sabbath because of work.

Luckily I started reading the Bible looking for helpful guidelines from the life of Christ.
Three things became clear:

1. Christ is the Master of the Sabbath (read: one can learn from Him)
2. There were times when he decided to say "no" to people and "yes" to aloneness
3. When there were 5000 men to be fed he used effectively the least (read: 8 working hours)

And you know what! In some way it became clear that these kind of miracles in belief are possible also today. If you give your 8 working hours to God.

And by now, while writing this blogpost, I have had both: a family day and a working day! And I'm prepared to meet Sunday with a glad heart that is resting!

It's good to be a believing man.
